iPhone 5s Prices In Bangkok
The price of the iPhone 5s in Bangkok is yet to be determined but as prices by Apple are pretty consistent around the globe expect the 16Gb version of the iPhone 5s to be in the region of 23,500 Baht.
iPhone 5s in Thailand will debut in December 2013 and will be available through all major carriers as well as through the Apple and iStores.
Imported versions will no doubt be available in MBK as soon as the phone is released in other countries and then imported into the "grey" market within Thailand.
There is, as always, a lot of expectation regarding the new iPhone 5s and not least because it will come with the all new 64 bit iOS 7 operting system which has a new design and a number of new and interesting functions; but that said, it seems not to be enough for the tradings market which didn't seem overly impressed by Apple's new offering.
Apple are known for their "game changing" products but the iPhone 5s and the cheaper 5c are not in the league of their predecessors and there might be fewer reasons for those already with an iphone 5 in Thailand, to upgrade.
If you are in Bangkok or Thailand and already own the fairly new iPhone5 will all that the iPhone 5s has to offer be enough to warrant an upgrade ?
The new features of the iPhone 5s are:
Touch ID — a fingerprint identity sensor.
An A7 chip with 64-bit architecture.
Prices For All Versions will probably be:
16 Gb = 23,500 Baht
32 Gb = 27,500 Baht
64 Gb = 35,500 Baht
Prices are, for now, speculative based on selling price in other countries.
Issues With Buying An iPhone 5s in Thailand
There aren't many issues with buying the iPhone 5s in Bangkok because Apple has a universal warranty (except one or two countries) and so should it go wrong, you'll be able to get it fixed.
The main issue would be whether the phone is locked into the carrier
or whether you buy an unlocked iPhone and can get a carrier to provide you with a service.
If the iphone 5s comes with a charger with a plug, you'll possibly need an adaptor (see below) but if you are using USB, this won't be an issue.

There a number of phones out there that are made to look like iPhones but I doubt you'll be sold one as an iPhone. They'll be sold to you for what they are and no-one will try to rip you off.
