Not such a nice place

Patpong market starts around about 6pm and it's usually in full flow by 8pm.
It used to be OK for items of clothing such as t-shirts, polo shirts and some tick tack souvenirs as well as fake designer watches but it's gone downhill with rude and often aggressive vendors and the quality of goods being poorer than they were.
Pirated DVDs are almost not worth the effort ( it's illegal anyway ) and the watches are poorly made and stop working after you get them home.
All in all, Patpong Market is worth a stroll around to see what the fuss is about, but in general, leave it alone and go to Lumpini Night Bazaar which is just around the corner.
