Nikon Dealers in Bangkok | Nikon Digital Cameras Bangkok
Bangkok has plenty of quality camera shops but as we are discussing Nikon Cameras, we'll start by mentioning Niks, which is Nikon ( Thailand ). Niks can be found on Silom road in the center of Bangkok. There is a map at the bottom of this page. Then there is Sunny Cameras which is a Nikon specialist chain of camera shops with branches in various locations around Bangkok. Easiest one to find is probably the one at MBK but there are others. A list can be found below.

If you can't find what you are after at the Sunny shop, you can then go to the other specialist shops in the same mall. If Sunny doesn't have the Nikon Digital camera of your choice, we then suggest you go to Foto File on the ground floor next to Baskin Robbins, or try Foto Thailand, Big Pro Camera or Foto Friends.

If MBK is not on your route and don't have time to get there, then there is always Pantip Plaza or Fortune Town ( MRT, subway and get off at Rama 9 following the signs to Fortune Town Arcade ). Alternatively, try Central Pinklao for another Sunny Cameras camera shop but if that's too far and you are in the Silom area, head up towards the Oriental Hotel and opposite the turning into the hotel road, is Sunny Cameras ( see image above ) |
Price Comparisons
We are fans of Nikon cameras and keep an eye on the prices of the D300 and it was during a brief Christmas visit to the UK that we took the opportunity to look at the prices at duty free and some camera shops we came across. With the exchange rate of the UK Pound against the Thai Baht being as it is (presently 50 Baht to 1 UK pound), it was cheaper to buy the D300 in the UK although that might change because camera prices are set to rise in the UK by 20% because of the exchange rate issue. The D300 was 45,000 Baht in the UK, but 54,000 in Bangkok. Even with a 7% VAT refund for tourists, UK was still cheaper. |
